What We Do

The Zonta Club of Marathon is dedicated to the advancement of women through education, economic stability, legal and legislative equality, health and wellness.

Zonta International’s nearly 1,200 clubs, in 65 countries, are participating in efforts within their local communities to raise awareness and increase actions to end violence against women and girls, around the world.

Zonta advocacy is an action taken in “the public interest” or for “the greater good” with respect to empowering women and girls and their human rights.

The Zonta Club of Marathon has implemented strong advocacy initiatives in recent years.  Currently, we help organize and participate in a number of local events.

Zonta Club of Marathon members hold fundraising projects throughout the year to raise funds for grants to local nonprofit organizations whose programs improve women’s legal rights, health, education, economic status, enhance women’s self-esteem, and end violence against women.

The Zonta Club of Marathon offers scholarship opportunities for women living and working in the Middle Keys. Scholarship Programs include: Adult Women Scholarships, Young Women in Public Affairs, Z-Club Award.
